Junior Financial Contract Management Specialist
Main Activities
- Assisting for preparation the project budget planning and expense monitoring
- Preparing and ensuring the finance and administrative system of the projects for internal controls in line with GIZ’s rules and regulations
- Supporting in keeping record of project inventory
- Reviewing financial reports/settlements of implementing partners before their submission to the relevant country office or headquarters.
- Supporting in preparation of local consultant/appraiser’s contracts and financial agreements, in particularly reviewing proposed budgets, before their submission to the service unit.
- Ensures financial and administrative work is carried out - timesheets, mission reports and other project relevant documentation (travel expenses, original invoices, tickets, boarding passes) from all experts and suppliers by following quality rules and given deadlines
- Building capacities of implementing partners in financial planning and monitoring according to GIZ rules and requirements
- Supporting in conducting commercial capacity suitability reviews of partners for financing agreements
- Performs necessary office management tasks
Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the scope of the job description.

Required qualifications, competencies, and experience
Education/Qualifications:
- University degree (BA, BSc) in business administration or related areas.
- Native in Turkish and business fluent in English is required, knowledge of Arabic will be considered as an asset.
Professional experience:
- At least 4 years of working experience in a comparable position is required
- Very good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Solution-oriented, independent, structured, reliable, flexible, commitment, service orientation and openness to new tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of the travel, office management, and events service industries is required
